The Funhouse is tucked away on the secluded North Hero Island. This snug home is perfect for a small family vacation, and while the house itself is not on directly on the lake, the private family owned beach is just 400 feet away, so going for a swim is a breeze. Relax in the screened-in porch with a good book, or hang out inside on cool days using TV and WiFi, and when you get hungry, the kitchen is equipped with cookware and basic appliances to make cooking a cinch. Longer stays are available.

Good to know

This a is great little cottage, been in the owners family for decades. Comfy rooms, short walk down the street to the private beach, only an hour to Burlington or Montreal.

Longer stays are available by individual request The beach is 200 yards away. 100 yards to Lakeview , turn right, 100 yards to #155. Beach access is at the Adirondack chairs!

This cottage was my home away from home for a week while sightseeing Vermont. It was comfortable and had a lot of great amenities. The property was beautiful, quiet and in a great location. The sunrise on the lake was stunning.

This was our second stay at the Fun House and we loved it. It is cozy, easy walk to lake Champlain, quiet and great yard. We spent most of the time playing in the yard, relaxing by the water and reading on the enclosed porch. The rooms are big and comfortable. We love the country kitchen which had all we needed. For us it was a wonderful place to take our grandchildren for a mini late summer vacation. We will be back!

Our stay at the Fun House was relaxing and refreshing! The indoor space was clean and comfortable with lots of natural light, and there were plenty of different dishes/utensils in the kitchen which allowed us to cook with ease. (Unfortunately, several attempts to get the grill to work failed, although that may have been due to user error, and we could only find one utensil suitable for grill use.) The neighborhood is well-kept and relatively quiet, and the cottage is distant enough from other houses to feel somewhat private. The rocky beach was easily accessible and clean with comfortable Adirondack chairs. We appreciated having access to a washer and dryer as well as amenities like beach towels. The cottage is close to Hwy 2 so it felt very easy to travel to and from other locations on the islands.

Pastoral setting, very peaceful. Very safe place to walk a clueless dog. Really enjoyed cooking and eating outside two nights. I could have slept forever in the bed upstairs! Make sure you have water shoes to go in the water - very rocky!
